Bengaluru witnessed a remarkable cultural milestone as a grand folk art festival held at the iconic Ravindra Kalakshetra created multiple world records, bringing immense pride to Karnataka and the nation. The large-scale event was organized by Shri N. Gopalakrishna under the joint banner of Nadoja Dr. G. Narayana Pratishthan, Bharatiya Kannada Pratishthan, and Suvarna Jyoti Trust, with the objective of promoting, preserving, and globally showcasing India’s rich folk art traditions.



The event successfully created five prestigious records, earning recognition from the World Book of Dancer Records, Reality World Book, Bharatiya Book of Records, Rasthriya Book of Records, and Karnataka Book of Records. Achieving recognition across multiple record platforms reflects the scale, authenticity, and cultural importance of the program.



Ravindra Kalakshetra turned into a vibrant center of art and heritage as hundreds of folk artists participated in diverse performances and art competitions. Traditional folk dances, regional cultural expressions, and artistic presentations were showcased with remarkable coordination and enthusiasm. Three major cash prizes of Rs. 1,00,000, Rs. 75,000, and Rs. 50,000 were awarded to exceptional performers and groups. Mir Sameem Raza, President of Karnataka Book of Records, and Arputha Jayanthi, Director of Karnataka Book of Records, were present and officially felicitated the organizers and participants for achieving this historic accomplishment.
